Suzie Qu Handmade Textiles

British design export Suzie Erlank has been supplying South Africans with her playful and graphic fabrics for almost a year. Inspired by real life, her designs are bold, fresh and fun. We love that her textiles are handmade and locally produced in Port Elizabeth. Her current collections feature designs inspired by nature and the changing of the seasons with pods, leaves and florals coming to the fore, but it’s her Royal Terror collection that has us tickled - here the iconic terrier is given the royal treatment. She runs a common thread throughout all of her collections, linking them by colour or a subtle theme and this time is no different. Touch of Nostalgia is her latest collection and will be launched in July with hues that are influenced by the spring colour predictions for 2013. With a focus on bringing nostalgia into the 21st century, the collection is inspired by vintage elements and all that is British, in keeping with her roots.
