London Design Festival

I was really privileged to attend the London Design Festival from 17-25 September 2011 this year. This exciting annual event consists of various group shows, talks and 100s of shops that participate and showcase their products. Overall, there are more than 280 events across 25 design disciplines, so there is lots to see and enjoy. This year was especially inspiring, with many world-renowned designers showing their work. Within the next few posts I will share some of my highlights from the event and show you a glimpse of the fantastic objects and designs I encountered during my visit. First up was the Tent exhibition, held at the Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane. Here, the focus was on young designers from all over the world. Tent provides an affordable space for young designers to showcase their designs. As the fifth edition of Tent London, this year's showcase was the largest yet, with 224 exhibitors from 26 countries taking part, and a total of 5 halls and 7 galleries filled with design. I enjoyed the many fascinating items display, which included everything from furniture, lighting, textiles and interior accessories to mesmerising digital installations. Enjoy!
