soak up the hygge at one of these Copenhagen hotels

From chic boutique hotels to an eco-friendly spot inspired by Balinese style, here is a wide range of recommended accommodation options in the city where you're bound to find some hygge too...

Decorated Bali-style and ultra-ecofriendly (a term that actually makes sense in Copenhagen) is Axel Guldsmeden. It’s located in the hip Vesterbro area, a short walk from the bars and restaurants of the revitalised Meatpacking District.

the designer pad

SP34 is another design-focused boutique hotel, located in the picturesque Latin Quarter.
Hotel SP34 is an exclusive boutique hotel situated in Copenhagen’s old Latin Quarter.
Opened in 2014, Hotel SP34 has 118 rooms, two á la carte restaurants, four bars, serviced rooftop terrace and an exclusive private cinema with 25 seats. The hotel is located 100 meters from the City Hall Square and the pedestrian street Strøget but nevertheless it is placed in its own natural environs with a great neighbourhood; a bohemian area with high ceilings, cool restaurants, vintage shops, churches, bars and a university milieu.

central and historical

The four-star Hotel Skt. Annae is very central and had a recent update by Danish design duo Space Copenhagen. The breakfast is excellent, the on-site restaurant Format superb, and the bar serves great cocktails.
Hotel SKT. Annæ is ideally located near the Nyhavn, a popular area with many café's and restaurants overlooking the picturesque harbor. Amalienborg Palace, the Royal Danish Theatre, the Citadel of Frederikshavn, the shopping street and the city's famous Little Mermaid.
