Kids' Collection goes Designer
Kartell is turning to kids rooms in 2016 with the launch of its first ever collection for children at the Salone del Mobile this month.
The collection has come about in collaboration with top designers, including Nendo who has created a transparent plastic rocking horse and cute stools in various pastels with emoticon-like faces imprinted onto the seats, Philippe Starck who designed the Airway swing, Piero Lissoni who has created little tractor and cars and Ferruccio Laviani who has created a building block table.

In a report by Wallpaper, Kartell president Claudio Luti says that the collection is meant to be playful, fun and engaging.
The designers themselves were given a chance to experiment with engaging a different – and considerably younger – market.
When asked whether the collection would become available in South Africa, Kartell said that an announcement would be made after Salone del Mobile had been wrapped up. Watch this space for more news!
