Wallpaper has long been an exciting aspect of design and decor. We have found it very useful in revamping a room or hall, instantly, without the smelly fuss of painting a new colour that sometimes looks lighter or darker on the wall than it did on the swatch card. Julia Anastasopoulos, a multi-disciplined artist and designer, has taken traditional wallpaper design to a fresh and interesting level under her design label, k n o l c.
The designer, whose practice has extended to theatre sets, lighting design, illustration for publications, websites, children’s books and toys, gallery installations and public murals, has now chosen wallpaper design as her current passion. Her beautifully illustrated murals make for a great interior update in a more youthful space.
With all the mentions from the recent design weeks of a move to ‘young-at-heart’ decorating, it’s great we have a local talent putting the trend into action.
The designs are available as fully illustrated wallpaper murals, made according to your specifications, or as smaller, readily sized wallpaper panels.
