Fleur Le Cordeur Opens a Shop in Stellenbosch
Designer floral studio Fleur Le Cordeur is expanding its already extensive offering with a gorgeous new store in Stellenbosch's De Wet Square.
Fleur Le Cordeur is so much more than a floral design studio. The company, headed up by Heike Hayward, has been pushing the boundaries of what can be done with fresh foliage and flowers for years, creating spectacular arrangements and installations for weddings, shoots, TV and events – including the grand opening of Blaauwklippen's Glass House at the end of last year.
Then there's the Fleur Le Cordeur signature homeware range, which features a selection of beautiful linen products printed with photographs of floral arrangements that were laid out on fabric and captured from above. Up until now, these and similar Fleur Le Cordeur products have only been available to purchase online, but now the company has expanded its offering and set up shop in De Wet Square in Stellenbosch.
The Fleur Le Cordeur shop is a veritable wonderland of floral-themed decor and design in the form of cushions, tablecloths, napkins, placemats, curtains, upholstered seating and even skirts. Lush green plants hang from fabric soft pots, while scented candles grace the surfaces and dazzling orchids are displayed in ceramic head vases and pots – some of the store's best-selling items to date.
It really is the kind of exhuberant expression that you would expect from a company that prides itself on embracing natural materials and enhancing their beauty on a massive scale, and with Fleur products being loved both locally and abroad, we can't wait to see what's next for this thriving local business.
