1.  Van Biljon Cinq 2014

#hldiscovery

With an impressive score of 92/100 from 'master of wine' Tim Atkin and four and a half stars (out of a possible five) from Platter's Wine Guide, Van Biljon Cinq 2014 is an impressive wine to add to your collection. A Bordeaux-type blend, the wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot grapes, all of which are grown on the Van Biljon Wines farm. With its powerful structure and expressive fruit composition, Van Biljon Cinq 2014 makes a bold statement: the wine's classic oak character is seamlessly integrated with the fruit, while the fresh berry acidity gives it vibrance and purity.

3. New Weylandts Store

#hldiscovery

Homeware and furniture retailer Weylandts has opened up its first store in Port Elizabeth (making it the brand's 12th store nationwide). Located at 220 Main Road, Walmer, the store is themed around the concept of 'The Collector of Landscapes', with themes including muted sandscapes to the dark forests of the subconscious and textures as subtly different as the gradual transformation of the sky at dusk over a stretched-out horizon. It also features The Kitchen, Weylandts’ contemporary bistro-style coffee shop, which serves delicious smoothies, light meals and baked goods beneath a giant fig tree, next to the fireplace or in the indoor-outdoor seating area.
