A compact kitchen on wheels with a focused menu served out of a loveable little caravan make food trucks one of the trendiest ways for foodies to get their fix. Here's our list of food trucks that are going places!
1. 5 Star Street Chef, JHB
WHAT TO EXPECT: Fresh ingredients combine to create soul food favourites like Thai sweet potato curry and vetkoek. FIND THEM: At various events and festivals around JHB or serving lunch in pop up locations like the Offices of Hyde Park or the Primedia parking lot in Sandton.

2. Vuyos, JHB
WHAT TO EXPECT: Authentic South African and Township cuisine, including Untie's vetkoek, boerie rolls, potjiekos and malamogodu (tripe). FIND THEM: Inquire at their popular diner location in Braamfontein or book them for private events where they can provide everything from the food to the karaoke machine.

WHAT TO EXPECT: All things German sausage, as the name suggests. Their speciality is the curry-wurst. FIND THEM: At events around the Garden Route, outside the organic market and Montessori School in Knysna on various days or at the MOSAIC market in Sedgefield on weekends.
