This exhibition features two award-winning South African artists: filmmaker, Bryan Little and advertising mastermind, Conn Bertish. For the next month, these two Capetonians will explore the themes of ‘evolution, gentrification, obsessive quests, misfits and outsiders.’ Their work will seek to question both the idea of progress in South Africa, as well as question who we as citizens take our guidance from and what the future has in store for us all. Bryan Little is the co-founder of Fly on the Wall productions in Cape Town and is well known for his documentary features, including his latest release, ‘The African Cypher’. Conn Bertish has worked for and created acclaimed campaigns at Ogilvy, The Jupiter Drawing Room, Saatchi&Saatchi and JWT. He’s won Gold and Silver medals at international ad festivals and is also remembered for his public space artworks, ‘The 0834319513 project’. Explore the works of these two artists at the #whileyouwerehustling exhibition at A Word Of Art at the Woodstock Exchange, 66 Albert Road, Woodstock, Cape Town. The exhibition opens on 18 July 2013 at 7pm and runs until 30 August 2013. For more information, visit Text Lindi Brownell Meiring
