The Very Fine Craft Market takes place every few months in an art studio in Observatory, Cape Town. The creative range of goods sold blur the distinction between fine art and craft and design, as designers come together to sell their unique, one-of-kind or limited edition pieces in a combinative space. Amongst the goods on show are silk scarves by Jill Trappler, handbound books by Tess Metcalf, blockprinted textiles by Henri Kuikens, painted T-shirts by Adrian Mwangi, potted plants by Windowsill, jewellery by Tessa J Kelly, cotton scarves by Felicity Hartley, puppets by Hilitte Stapelberg, masks by Anthony Cawood, felt containers by Joy Carkeek, ceramics by Jeff Miller, and cards by Victor N’Gabo. The next Very Fine Craft Market is on Saturday 5 October 2013, from 9am to 2pm, at the Artsource Studio in Lower Main Road, Observatory.
