The Stepladder Chair

Cape Town’s Klooftique recently launched their new spring stock and it was the Stepladder Chair that caught our attention for its eye-catching colour, simplicity and dual purpose design. Reportedly originally designed by Benjamin Franklin, the Stepladder Chair is a smart solution for small spaces or those who just love clever design. Folded down and latched for support, it functions as a clean lined dining chair. But when unlatched and flipped up, the seat and back legs double over to form a nifty stepladder for those hard to reach places. Handmade by Klooftique’s local team of artisans, the Stepladder Chair is made in pine, but can be ordered in other woods too. It can be sprayed to a colour of your choice, including vibrant fire truck red. The Stepladder Chair retails for R2400 incl. and is available at Klooftique. Call them on 021-424-9458.
