As one of the world’s top producers of handmade contemporary rugs, The Rug Company is especially known for its collaborations with some of the most influential designers on the planet, including Vivienne Westwood, Kelly Wearstler, Alexander McQueen, Diane von Furstenberg and Paul Smith.
The Rug Company is dedicated to innovative and original design, but it is also renowned for maintaining exceptional quality – the sort that’s achievable only when you make use of the best traditional rug-making skills. Handcrafted by master weavers in Nepal using the finest natural yarns, each of their rugs is a work of art. What’s more, the Rug Company is one of the licensees of GoodWeave, a non-profit organisation dedicated to ensuring that no child labour is used in any of its registered productions. The GoodWeave label is the best assurance that no child labour was employed in the making of a rug, and a percentage of the selling price of labelled rugs goes to support GoodWeave schools in India and Nepal.
