The Ceramic Factory

Ceramic Factory recently launched ‘Citizenship’, a collection of ceramics that celebrate both individuals and humanity. The collection was conceptualised by Ceramic Factory’s Creative Director Rial Visagie and crafted by Joe Govo. The Citizenship range is handmade from terracotta. After moulding, the terracotta is given a gentle white glaze to accentuate details and expose each piece’s individuality. It consists of two individual ranges, namely The Fro Family and The Village of the Rhino. The Fro Family celebrates the African continent and its diverse people. It celebrates creativity, pride and belief that anything is possible. Items include wine bottle holders, ice buckets and coffee mugs. The Village of the Rhino celebrates the rhinoceros: a hopeful reaction to the gory imagery associated with rhino poaching. Prices range from R135 to R1 200. Ceramic Factory has a showroom on 4th Avenue Linden, Joburg. Visit their Facebook Page or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
