photographer's sea point pad

Our March issue House of the Month belongs to Cape Town photographer, Adriaan Louw, whose creative personality shines through in his colourful, quirky apartment. From the playful doggy statuette in the living room, to the various interesting collectables carefully curated throughout the 78m² space, this bachelor pad has a definite sense of 'cool'. The Cape Town property underwent quite a dramatic renovation to reveal the true potential of this small space. Interior designer Pat Jackson custom-designed a ceiling-height sliding door that would cleverly divide the space. It also gives Adriaan the freedom to reconfigure the various sections as he desires. Pat also employed other handy tricks - like using a portion of the kitchen area to create a tiny office - in order to maximise every inch of this modestly sized apartment. The end product is a well-organised, clean space that provides the perfect seaside pad for this self-described 'neat freak'.
