Famous for their Pigalle restaurant group, brothers Naldo and Victor Gonçalves set out to create a more relaxed restaurant set in one of Sea Point’s latest developments, The Point.
Named after the brothers who have been in the restaurant industry since 1980, NV-80 is a slight departure from what you would expect of them. Head chef and partner, Pavel Dimitrov has created a simpler menu featuring both new dishes, as well as some Gonçalves favourites.
The spectacular decor created by Andrea Graff is inspired by 1970s South Africa and is described as ‘Cuba meets vintage’ with palm trees set against bright lemons and teals. Inside, wire ships hanging above the bar make a statement and the palm tree wallpaper continues the Cuban theme inside.
