Since opening in South Africa, Kohler is fast becoming a leading player in the building industry. The global bathroom and kitchen fittings manufacturer has opened a gallery in Bryanston, Johannesburg, that will inspire and enthuse shoppers while celebrating South African design leaders.

In a showcase of its covetable full bathroom solution, Kohler incorporates the work of some of the best local designers, including an Artist Editions collection of basins with decorative effects in glass, bronze and marble.

Artist Elonah O'Neil's creation

Well-known for her modern vintage design aesthetic and use of monochrome and metallics, Studio 19's Mia Widlake presents her standout light fittings, while Mpho Vackier of The Urbanative emphasises what Africa is all about with her custom-designed occasional chairs in the gallery's reception area.

Aureum’s Nicky Levenberg, the prominent Joburg textile designer whose prints are the vibrant base for a range of homeware, from scatter cushions to napery, has handpainted an inspired geometric mural for the space. She also features her wallpaper collaboration with Lemon, which has also installed various artworks and wallpaper in the gallery.

Artist Elonah O'Neil takes a break from the magical and captivating masterpieces on paper that she's become known for and has created a water-inspired glass art installation. Called 'Spring Rain', the artwork features hundreds of indigo blue glass shards. Robin Sprong continues the blue and green colour palette with a one-of-a-kind botanical backdrop for Kohler's contract collection.

The entire look is pulled together with Copperleaf Studio's Kelly Adami's classic, luxe aesthetic. Her range of luxury mirrors are also on display.

Kohler Gallery merges a one-stop-shop for bathroom and kitchen fittings with an art gallery to reignite traders' and customers' excitement for home renovations and local design.
