The popular South African pop-up event Kamers (previously known as Kamers Vol Geskenke) is finally making its way down to Cape Town this week following the Easter event in Joburg this year. With 110 local designers and creatives setting up shop at the Castle of Good Hope, there will be everything from delicious snacks and tiny trinkets to homemade designs and accessories. The new partnership with the Cape Craft and Design Institute (CCDI) has also afforded them the opportunity to welcome some new suppliers, but don’t worry, all the old favourites will still be present. This event also forms part of the official World Design Capital Cape Town 2014 program. It’s the perfect opportunity to support local talent. Kamers takes place from 5 June to 8 June 2014 at the Castle of Good Hope, Cape Town. Tickets are available from Computicket.com at R60 per person.
