Make teatime more exciting with Skermunkil’s gold drip porcelain cups. Well known for their jewellery (as featured on our website), Skermunkil has also worked with ceramics for many years, often including it in their jewellery designs. Always on the lookout for new and exciting projects, Marietjie and her team decided to try something new with their porcelain cups. The cups are available with and without handles and come in both white and pink. Handles can either be traditional or shaped like little dolls, arms or legs. Using gold lustre, the drips are only added after the cups have been fired and glazed. Each cup is unique, as the gold is hand-painted. Each cup also features a quirky message at the bottom for the person sitting opposite you to read. The cups retail from R200 each and are available from the Skermunkil showroom at 44 Palmer Road, Muizenberg, as well as at the Kalk Bay Co-op.
