Geometric shapes are all the rage, and sharp patterns perfectly inspire illusion, depth and drama. Keri Muller is a self-proclaimed ‘maker’ and uses a mixture of materials to create her works of art. Her range of geometric cushion covers is an assortment of strong patterns and colour. HL asked Keri about her design style and inspiration for the cushions. ‘I love old anatomical drawings and am very fond of the more abstract shapes and colour – it’s what I imagine my thoughts/dreams to look like – colourful and abstract!’ says Keri. Keri is based in Kalk Bay, Cape Town, and you can buy the cushion covers directly from her. In this month’s Art Issue, see the way geometric shapes and bold colour can create statement pieces in your home (‘Optical Illusion‘ can be found on pages 15 – 20 of the issue). You can view the full range of Keri’s work at simpleintrigue.com or email her on firstname.lastname@example.org to order your own geometric cushions. They currently retail at R280 per cushion (excluding an inner and postage).
