The time is fast approaching where, once again, South African literary enthusiasts will put down their reading glasses and gather in the heart of wine country for a weekend of bookish enrichment.
Whether you fancy writing, reading or wandering through life in sonnets, whether you are critically or politically minded, this years Franschoek Literary Festival has something to offer.
Growing in popularity since its inception in 2007, the festival will showcase a number of international authors as well as South African writers based here and overseas. The two major goals of the festival are to bring together a broad cross-section of mostly South African writers in conversation at quality events that inspire and inform, and to raise funds for local community and school libraries, for which the FLF Library Fund was established.
This year’s festival takes place from 15-17 May 2015 at various venues in Franschoek. For full details of the programme, topics and authors in attendance visit flf.co.za
Tickets can be purchased from webtickets and cost R70 for each event.
