Complied by Mariola Jakutowicz Fouché Photographs Supplied Stretch your eco-conscious legs on the 20-day (yes, 20) Eden to Addo Great Corridor Hike, starting near Knysna and ending 400km later in the Eastern Cape. The megahike is part of a larger conservation initiative linking the Garden Route National Park, Baviaanskloof World Heritage Site and the Addo Elephant National Park by tracts of private farmland. This has created a biodiversity corridor restoring ancient migration paths for species that need to move because of climate change and to guard against in-breeding and extinction. The hike will take place from 3 October to 22 October 2014, so best start planning now! For more information, visit edentoaddo.co.za.
