In the December 2016 issue of House and Leisure, we featured the Clifton home of Jason Ray. In the story, Jason Ray and interior designer Jean-Pierre de la Chaumette talk about how this relatively small apartment was transformed into a home that maximises on spatial planning and exudes style.
Capturing the breezy, carefree nature of the Cape’s Atlantic Seaboard, this light-filled space is anything but your typical beach house. ‘Cool, cosy’ and ‘contemporary’ are three words that best describe the look and feel of this modern abode.
“I always think that you should not be scared to play. Homes are supposed to evolve. I don’t want furniture and things for life. This suits me right now and is perfect for this apartment. The next one will be different. The one enduring thing, however, is the funny feeling I get when I find another Mid-century piece,” said Ray about his decor choices.
This selection of home decor pieces reflects the charm of this Clifton apartment. Neutral tones are brightened with splashes of bright colour to bring character to the space. Go ahead, shop the look.
