Blankspace wrapping paper

If you're a stationery lover who delights in a beautifully wrapped gift, then you'll want to add a few sheets of Blankspace's hand-printed gift wrap to your paper collection. The eco-friendly wrapping paper uses 100% recycled paper from Denmark, hand-stamped with eight monochrome designs. The combination of recycled paper and hand-stamping ensures each sheet is one-of-a-kind. 'Because it's recycled, no two batches of paper are the same, they vary slightly in colour,' says Blankspace owner Charlene Walton. 'With hand-printing, each sheet of paper is unique because the design is stamped without mechanical precision.' The range comes in red or black and currently includes algae, pram, bubble, butterfly leaf, triangle, Christmas bauble and stocking designs. Walton plans to expand the range in the future with new ink colours, but for now she's content with the simplicity of the black and red. 'It makes the wrapping sheets timeless and classic, perfect for any occasion.' Walton recommends accessorising the wrapping paper with a Blankspace Letterpress gift tag and ribbon from the selection they have in store, or 'even just a fresh flower from the garden to add a splash of colour.' Sheets are sold in sets of 5 for R95. Purchase them online at, or in store at 71 Roeland Street, Cape Town.
