A little bit of ‘France-by-the-Sea’

Durban’s Hypermarket-by-the-Sea has just become much more interesting: a beautiful store clad in pink and twinkling with chandeliers is now open at the north entrance. Petits Fours Deli & Decor has become a popular pit-stop for shoppers wanting a touch of elegance after walking the grocery aisles. The restaurant serves a selection of hearty meals but the true delight is the assortment of delicate sweet treats available. As pretty as they are delicious, the eponymous petits fours are surrounded by brownies and lemon meringues, cheesecakes and cup cakes. If you can tear yourself away from the pastries long enough to walk to the back of the store, you will discover a range of imported deli items, decor and furniture all either imported from France or created in true French style. Petits Fours also host high teas and cater for private functions.
