Celebrating Earth Hour
Founded by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in 2007, Earth Hour is an amazing global campaign that raises awareness of the consequences of climate change during the last Saturday of March every year, from 8.30 - 9.30pm. Climate change is the biggest threat humanity has had to deal with and, by encouraging everyone worldwide to switch off their lights, appliances and other gadgets for one hour, they aim to show everyone the positive and easy actions we can take to stop it. Take part in Earth Hour this year by planning your own event, or join an event that's already happening. If you would rather contribute to this important cause from your own home, eat dinner by candle light, have a braai with friends or lie under the stars for an hour. This year's event will take place on 28 March 2015 from 8.30 - 9.30pm. Don't miss it!
