South African wines are among the best in the world, so naturally we have a great wine culture. Vendange produce a range of gorgeous wine crates perfect for storing your favourite wines! Designed by Nick Davies, the Trudeau Wine Crates are manufactured in the Vendange factory in Cape Town and sold at their several stores. The crates are made from pine and given an antique finish and can serve as stand-alone pieces or stacked on top of one another to support your growing wine collection. Vendange is a family-run business started by Richard Davies and co-run with his brother, Oliver. HL chatted to Richard about his business and products, eager to find out more about the range… ‘The crates are reasonably priced and you can start with one or two and add on as your wine collection increases,’ says Richard. ‘The theme of our product range is food, wine and olive oil accessories, with an emphasis on accessories. A large portion of our range is the Boutique Vineyards Trudeau cheese and baguette boards, which are all made from recycled wine barrels. We also stock an extensive candle, basket-ware, linen and glassware range.’ Their vision is to be first choice for gifting and home accessories for customers in South Africa. With South Africa’s large wine culture and consumer base, these stylish yet functional wine crates are a perfect addition to your home and a great gift idea. They currently retail for R395. Vendange have five stores in South Africa (in both Cape Town and Joburg). Visit their website for the store directory to locate the shop closest to you at vendange.co.za.
