Don’t miss Fondue Thursday’s from 7pm onwards at this entirely diverse laundromat/coffee shop, that does food and wine pairings while you wait for your fresh linens. Their three pot fondue for R150 per person will give you a taste of the different fondue options available.

For a more opulent affair, Chef Rudi’s Cheese Fondue is made with a trio of local gruyère, Emmentaler and mature cheddar with a hint of garlic. Served in a lustrous copper pot on a hot salt brick, Rudi’s fondue comes accompanied by a selection of delectable dipping condiments. R260 for two people sharing.

Tradition is the focus here. Situated outside of Johannesburg, this authentic spot specialises in authentic Swiss and Southern German specialties. Head out to the countryside and try their traditional-style fondue, made with unprocessed imported cheese and Swiss bread. R169 per person.

Delheim’s Jazz and Cheese Fondue events are held on Sundays, (ending 8th Septemeber) and cost R150 per person.A duo that naturally belong together- their fondue comes with a glass of hot Glühwein and live music to boot.
