The restaurant has been run by chef Jessica Shepherd and her husband Luke Grant since mid 2013. The best part? There’s a new menu every week, inspired by seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
The menu we enjoyed was served, family style, and started with a chilled carrot soup and a watermelon and buffalo mozzarella salad, before moving on to local pasture-reared lamb with roast potatoes and a roast aubergine and rocket side. The meal ended with a delightful olive oil ice cream. And all this comes with a range of beautiful estate wines to choose from. Whether you sit and enjoy lunch under the trees in the summer or sit near the fireplace in winter, you won’t regret stopping by.
