Step into spring with al fresco dining

It's official, spring is around the corner. We're spotting bees, butterflies and other winged creatures out and about, and pops of blooming colour are once again dotting the landscape. While we're likely to have one or two more cold fronts before the warmer weather really kicks in, we're looking forward to plenty of long, sunny days spent outside. So, now that it's time to start thinking about dining al fresco again, we've rounded up a few of our favourite restaurants in and around the Cape for you to enjoy.

greenhouse restaurant at babylonstoren

spring restaurant babylonstoren The Greenhouse Restaurant is situated near the end of Babylonstoren's lush, extensive garden in Simondium. Visitors have the option of dining directly under the trees or inside the beautiful greenhouse-turned-cafe. After your light meal – prepared with  fresh farm ingredients and bursting with colour and flavour – take a languid stroll through the manicured farm grounds.

la belle at alphen boutique hotel

spring restaurant la belle Beneath 100-year-old oak trees, la Belle bistro and bakery at the Alphen Boutique Hotel in Constantia is a spot where you can while away the hours in a lovely, natural setting.
