Reuben Riffel @ NIROX

Award-winning South African chef Reuben Riffel is headed north to host the inaugural Chef in Residence at Nirox in the Cradle of Humankind from 25 to 27 October 2013. To expand its reach into contemporary culture, NIROX has extended its artists’ residency programme to include leading international and local chefs, with a pop-up restaurant in the new garden pavilion and kitchen, overlooking the sculpture park and lawn amphitheatre. At R450 per lunch (Saturday and Sunday) or R550 for a dinner (Saturday), guests will be treated to a four-course menu with two choices of hors d’oeuvres and mains, which emphasise local seasonal produce including game, fowl and fish from in and around the NIROX estate, as well as dessert. A full cash bar service will also be available over the weekend with champagne cocktails, Bombay Sapphire Gin cocktails and wines by Antonij Rupert. Reservations and pre-payment are essential.
