Restaurant week in the Western Cape has begun (Thursday 20th of October- Sunday 30th of October) and with over 100 restaurants participating, patrons are in for a culinary treat. In the 216 year old Manor house on Nederburg wine estate, the Red Table restaurant is preparing to host an unforgettable fine dining experience.
The Red Table is focused on offering a gastronomic experience paired with the award-winning wines of the estate. Nederburg wines was founded in 1791, and with one of the most extensive wine ranges, it is amongst the top, most loved wineries in the country.
During Restaurant Week, the estate will be serving a R150 meal, which includes a refreshing glass of Nederburg Première Cuvée Brut on arrival, a delicious main course of braised short rib, zucchini fritters, a mélange of fresh vegetables and pomme purée, served with a glass of Nederburg The Winemasters Cabernet Sauvignon 2014. Dessert will be lime-infused crème brûlée with summer berries. What more could you ask for?
Nederburg was recently awarded the best Cabernet Sauvignon in the world by the International Wine & Spirit Competition. Restaurant Week is now in its fifth edition, allowing for more locals to be become familiar with dining destinations around the Cape.
