This Sunday, treat your Dad to a delicious club sandwich (or two!).
12 slices Sasko Traditional Whole Wheat Bread
250g streaky bacon
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
2 tomatoes, sliced
150g Emmental cheese, sliced
Fry or grill the bacon to your liking, then set aside on some paper towel to cool. Place the chicken breasts on to a board, cover with a layer of clingfilm and gently flatten using a rolling pin to ensure an even cooking time. Fry the breasts in a pan on medium heat with a little olive oil until they are cooked through and slightly brown. Set aside to cool. To assemble the sandwiches: Spread mayonnaise on to each piece of bread, place the first four slices on to plates and top with bacon, cheese and lettuce. Cover each with another slice of the bread and layer with chicken, tomato slices, salt and pepper and more lettuce. To finish, place the remaining bread slices on top of each sandwich and serve.
