What could be better than browsing beautiful imported decor? How about setting your eyes on the covetable Hertex fabric range while sinking your teeth into a sumptuous treat of a different kind? The Petits Fours café in Hertex’s newly opened Kramerville showroom (which officially opened its doors on 19 March 2013) offers shoppers the opportunity to indulge more than one of their senses. The sophisticated decor combines a European coffee shop aesthetic with a certain 60s feel, so you can expect richly decorated interiors and plush trimmings. Of the collaboration owner Magdaleen van Wyk says, ‘The association with an internationally respected brand like Hertex is exciting and an honour.’ What’s on the menu, you ask? For those with a sweet tooth the red velvet brownies come highly recommended, as does the chocolate cheesecake drizzled with a salted butter caramel. Stopping by for breakfast? Then try the Eggs Benedict Millefeuilles, Croque Monsieur au Poulet or a wonderful health section – all freshly baked. Soon to be added to the line-up are various American-inspired foods, including gourmet hot dogs and doughnuts. Petits Fours will be open from Monday to Friday between 8am – 5pm and Saturdays between 8am – 1pm at the Hertex showroom, 16 Kramer Road, Kramerville, Joburg.
