Labneh cheese, from Cape Town’s Bedouin Deli and Café is a creamy Middle Eastern-influenced cheese that would make a great addition to any festive spread.
Made from strained Greek yoghurt, the cheese is preservative free and is considered a healthy alternative to cream cheese, as it’s similar in texture and taste, but naturally lower in calories.
The Bedouin Labneh Cheese is available in five different flavours: original, garlic, pepper, mint and chilli.
It’s priced from R38 per jar and is available from the Bedouin Deli and Café at 218 Albert Road, Woodstock, Cape Town. They will soon be launching their online store.
