Hey, Joburg! Don’t worry about that afternoon rain shower, ’cause come 5pm, the sun will be shining. Cape Town? Is that the sun creeping out from behind the clouds? How refreshing. You know what else is refreshing? This crisp cocktail, just the thing for sweet spring sipping. Yes, we know, winter hasn’t left us yet. But you may as well shake off thoughts of the cold and remind yourself of warmer weather – while winding down after a solid eight-hour day at your desk.
Green Melon Mojito
In a heavy-based tumbler, muddle 4–6 mint leaves, and 4 lime wedges with a dash of lime juice, ½ shot sugar syrup, a dash of green melon purée and 2 shots of white rum.
Stir to lift the ingredients and top with soda water and lots of crushed ice; garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a melon ball.
