Braai season is just about here which means it’s time to invest in the latest smart cooking ideas for a fun and enjoyable summer.
He might be a Brit, but Jamie Oliver knows a thing or two about cooking with charcoal, even if he does call it a ‘barbecue’. For his latest cooking accessory which is effectively a mini kettle braai, Jamie has rectified this minor misdemeanor, calling it Jamie’s Park Braai. The little braai is not only versatile, it’s easily portable too, meaning you can throw it in the boot and use it wherever you find yourself – in the park, at a music festival or in your own back garden.
Knowing the hard use us South Africans put our braais through, he has created a product that is durable. And enamel-coat offers protection from the elements, while a silicon trim makes it easy to handle, as does the locking clips for storage and carrying.
He’s even thought about adjustable grill height to ensure you get the right distance from that heat. For safety he has come up with an internal lid heat diffuser to ensure there are no upsets during a fun time in the sun.
At 38.5 cm x 38.5 cm x 48 cm volume, this compact braai is suitable for the food preparation of two to four people.
