On Monday, 19 November, House and Leisure hosted a handful of guests at the breathtaking Tintswalo Atlantic at the bottom of Chapman’s Peak, to celebrate the launch of the December 2012 Holidays issue.
Upon arrival, guests were treated to Belvedere Vodka cocktails, wine from Grand Provence, and canapés on the deck overlooking the ocean and mountains, while Editor Naomi Larkin told everyone more about the issue.
After dinner, guests were free to enjoy the perfect summer’s evening on the deck while sampling Jack Daniel’s Holiday Select Limited Edition and Jack Daniel’s White Rabbit, along with a dessert table laden with rhubarb and strawberry tart, nectarine and raspberry tarts with minted cream, cheese, berries, and caramelised nuts.
Most of the food on offer was made as per the recipes in the December issue of House and Leisure, and readers walked away with a copy of the magazine as well as goodie bag full to the brim with beautiful items for the home. Guests were spoilt with divine products from Entrepo, Skinny laMinx, OPI, Sobeit Studio, Cath Price Ceramics, Wild Olive, Accessorize, Exclusive Books and Merci Chocolates.
Of course, the decor was one of the biggest highlights with the festive table arrangement taking a leaf out of our December issue’s table settings spread. The gorgeous place settings included crockery from Melissa’s The Food Shop, wooden reindeer and stars by Design Werkstatt, wooden bowls by the Gatehouse at Mavromac, and copper candelabras from the Haas Collective.
The December issue contains everything needed for the most stylish South African festive season yet. Whether it’s looking for an inspired gift list, new ways to wrap gifts creatively, or tasty, elegant meals for when gathering around the table with loved ones, House and Leisure has it all in the December issue.
