Guitarist Steve Fataar was crowned a living treasure by the mayor of Durban in September 2000 because of his music. You can catch him live at The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music, where he will be performing with pianist Burton Naidoo and a few special guests.

Cameron Platter Exhibition Opening
KZNSA Gallery presents its latest exhibition – an installation of new paintings, sculptural assemblages, collages and video by South African artist Cameron Platter. ICA Live Art Festival 2018
The Institute for Creative Arts (ICA) hosts the annual ICA Live Art Festival, an interdisciplinary festival designed to challenge and extend the public’s experience of live art in a non-commercial environment. All the shows are free, but booking via email is essential.
Soul Fest: TLC, Dru Hill & SWV

Open Book Festival 2018
The Book Lounge and Fugard Theatre present the annual Open Book Festival, a literary festival with a focus on South African literature in an international context. The festival includes more than 150 literary events, featuring as many as 100 authors over five days. Although the events are spread across Cape Town and its surrounds, the hub of the festival takes place at the Fugard.

Baleia Wines Mountain Bike Challenge
The third annual Baleia Wines Mountain Bike Challenge is taking place this weekend at Baleia Wines just outside Riversdale. Choose from two races; the 20km race (R100 entry fee) and the 63km (R200 entry fee). The trail run will also be over two distances; 6.5km (R60 entry fee) and 16.5km (R100 entry fee)
