With over 20 galleries from across the country participating, including David Krut, Kirsten Goss and Victoria Verbaan, the Turbine Art Fair is the perfect spot for you to boost your South African art collection.
Held at the award-winning venue, the forum | turbine hall in the Newtown Cultural Precinct, this art fair caters to both new buyers as well as established collectors, with prices ranging from R1 000 to R25 000 per piece. You’ll be able to choose from original prints, paintings, photographs and sculptures.
Simon Bannister, who won the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of 2013, will also be walking his life-size giraffes over the Nelson Mandela Bridge to Turbine Hall, where they will be on sale.
There will also be educational talks, delicious food and drinks, a children’s play area and performances from The Radium Jazz Trio.
Visit The Turbine Art Fair on Friday 26 July 2013 for the special preview evening from 6pm until 10pm (tickets cost R300 per person) or on Saturday 27 July from 11am until 6pm and Sunday 28 July from 11am until 7pm. Tickets for Saturday and Sunday cost R50 each through Webtickets or R70 each at the door.
