The Grahamstown Arts Festival is back with 10 days of awesome entertainment. The Sundowner Stage Indigenous Music and Dance Festival, the Free Fringe Festival, Sundowner Concerts, Visual Art Exhibitions, Public Art and the Transnet Village Green Fair are just some of the experiences that will be on offer this year. Must-see shows include the return of Rob van Vuuren’s award-winning Pants On Fire, Hoss, which stars Andrew Buckland, Sparky Xulu, and Silulami Lwana and Gregory Maqoma’s Exit/Exist, where using his body as a moving portrait, Gregory explores a traditional, historic and heroic Xhosa story of Chief Maqoma, a story that has seen a family torn apart and a new generation making peace with it. Not to be missed! The National Arts Festival kicks off on 27 June 2013 and runs until 7 July 2013. For more information on performances and tickets, visit nationalartsfestival.co.za.
