Missoni Home's new wallcoverings are inspired by its eclectic fashion
Posted: 07 November 2017
One of the leading fashion houses in the world, Missoni is the result of a longstanding collaboration between Ottavio and Rosita Missoni. After marrying in 1953, the couple began making knitwear in the basement of their home in Gallarate, Italy. Since then, the business has blossomed to become among the most recognised in fashion, and has been continued by the family. In 1997, Rosita stepped down from her leadership role to dedicate herself to the Missoni Home line. Missoni Home has now found inspiration in the iconic Missoni fashion aesthetic to bring to life its first-ever Wallcoverings collection. Completing Missoni's already broad and historic line, Missoni Home Wallcoverings 01 brings fashion to interior design. With a multitude of colourful proposals dedicated to wall decoration, walls can now wear Missoni too. Colours, shades, nuances and contrasts are intertwined in endless games and reading graphics frames, in line with the innovative or iconic signs of Missoni’s style. Romantic sunrises and sunsets decorate the range, paired with graphic patterns and Borealis lights. A mix of natural elements such as hellebore, botanicals, female faces, flowers and foliage take centre stage. Of course, the iconic zigzag Missoni pattern could not be left out and degradé lines in different colour gradients are prominent. Visit Dreamweaver Studios to shop the range.
