From 12 March to 26 April 2014, Manfred Zylla’s solo exhibition, I Want to Swim a Thousand Miles, will be on show at the Erdmann Contemporary Gallery’s new space in Kloof Street, Cape Town.
The interactive exhibition comprises a non-exhibited series that dates back to 1993, as well as some of his new works produced in 2013 and 2014. The pieces comment on manmade disasters, including various oil spills that the renowned activist-artist had witnessed in the media in the early 1990s, particularly the spills off the coast of Norway and Alaska.
