Metals seem to be here to stay within the design and fashion worlds and gold in particular seems set to be a key trend for 2016. Whether it is within small accents in product design or bolder with gold leaf walls, this metallic will not disappoint. Popular combined tones of pale pinks and even greys and deeper tones like forest green and chartreuse will also become more prominent.
Update any space with a solid tone of gold on the wall or choose a vintage chair and spray with some quality gold paint. Paint suppliers like Rust-Oleum, Dulux and Plascon have recently update their metal ranges and the results are much more intense than before.
When it comes to furniture Kartell does it best with gold pieces like their Componobili modular system (above) and the Masters Chair by Philippe Starck and my favourite gold accessories go to would definitely be the Swedish brand Skultuna with their wide range of beautiful accessories available at various outlets around the country.
