Joburg to become a tapestry of colour

Karl Rogers

Whether you’re an interior designer looking to network or a design lover looking for inspiration, 100% Design South Africa is the place to be this August 2016. One of the highlights of this premier show, which takes place at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Joburg, is a focus on the best local and international fabrics and wallpapers, so it's ideal for anyone with a penchant for prints, colours and textures. Here are a few aspects to look forward to:

experience the latest in digital printing

Robin Sprong, owner of Robin Sprong Wallpaper in Cape Town and a true master in his field, is collaborating with 100% Design South Africa to create an outstanding entrance feature for the show. He will be doing a fascinating demonstration of some of his custom-printing abilities.

proudly South African products

Many of SA’s very own manufacturing and design companies will be represented here. These include the Pretoria-based Mongoose, creators of beautiful vibrantly coloured bags, napkins, tea towels, runners, cushions and more; and award-winning studio Mungo, who still weave fabrics on an old industrial loom.

chat to professionals at no extra cost

100% Design South Africa  will host a free programme called Talking Textiles. Experts from leading fabric houses will share their latest collections and discuss textile trends at The Hub, a brand new talking point.
