Dive into Art de Vivre
You'll never look at furniture the same way again after watching the latest quirky video by French furniture brand Roche Bobois.
The brand's popular Mah Jong sofa collection designed by Hans Hopfer is given a fun new purpose as a make-believe swimming pool in which six women perform elegant dives and synchonised swimming moves.
Before enjoying their 'swim' the women are filmed pushing several sofas together to form a huge 'pool' in the middle of a great hall. The sofas are several different colours and prints, forming a patchwork effect, thereby demonstrating just how versatile this iconic modular design is.
Set in the Palace Brongniart at Place de la Bourse in Paris, the commercial suggests a young and playful edge to the brand, tying in well with its new strapline, 'French Art de Vivre'.
Production was brought to life by famed Slowdance producer Wendy Morgan, and is accompanied by music from ATOM, who is a member of the electro group C2C from Nantes.
