The 357 Feltri Armchair from Cassina is no ordinary chair – it’s the ultimate in winter comfort; a throne that engulfs you with warmth when you curl up in its embrace.
The unique showstopper was designed by Italian architect and leader in contemporary industrial design Gaetano Pesce, whose work can be found in some of the most important museums in the world, including MoMA in New York and San Francisco, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Vitra Design Museum in Germany, Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Louvre in Paris.
The armchair is made of thick wool felt, and the lower part is reinforced with thermosetting resin to create stiffness and resistance, while the upper edge is soft, creating the illusion of a warm blanket ready to envelop anyone who takes a seat. The comfy appeal of the chair is further enhanced by the fact that it’s completed with mattress in quilted fabric, sewn together with polyester padding. This part of the seat is available in various colours, including orange, yellow, purple, green, blue and ecru.
We love the fact that the Feltri perfectly combines art and function and makes you feel cosy just by looking at it.
The Feltri Armchair by Gaetano Pesce for Cassina is for sale right here in South Africa in both a high-back and low-back version from Cassina.
