Founder and creator of Ardmore, Fée Halsted emabrked on a trip to the Kruger National Park for a much deserved break when she stumbled across the source of her inspiraiton for the new collection.

As Halsted spent her time in the rondavel huts located in the lower Sabie area, her eyes feasted on the lush and dense vegetation found surrounding the river. As a crucial source water source, the river is a haven for animals in the area to drink and bathe.

Ardmore spokesperson, John Halsted explains that there is a reccuring theme through all of Admore's collections. 'Ardmore is a brand that has been inspired by the rivers in Africa, hence the new collection named, Sabie.'

The new collection features three designs in various colours and textured fabrics. The first design, 'Sabie Forest' is available in three colour patterns, Delta, Moonlight and Dawn.

The Ardmore design team allowed their collective imagination to play with the beautiful rich and detailed patterned plant and animal motifs found on Ardmore's ceramic surfaces to wave through this new fabric collection. The Camp Critters print, for example, features mischievous bush babies hanging off elephant trunks, both of these design elements can also be found on various Ardmore ceramics.  'As the sun sets and the heat abates, bush babies, genet cats and owls celebrate night life amid delicately patterned exoitic and sensual smelling moonlight flowers,' explains Halsted.

As the final design pattern included in the new collectoon, the 'King Cheetah' design is comprised of two King Cheetah who are intertwined and appear to be interacting with one another. The fabric design strongly focuses on the colours and stripes of the elusive African bush cat.

The team of talented artists and designers at Ardmore have created a collection that pays homage to the feeling of an African jungle to create a vibrant collection of homeware items are as timeless as the African sunset.
