Ficks Hermanus

Imagine dining surrounded by a sea view while drenched in the summer sun, this is just the start of what you can expect from an afternoon at Ficks Pinchos and Wine.

The restaurant is situated on a well-known tidal pool in Hermanus, with a backdrop of rocks and greenery giving it a Grecian feel and with steps leading down to the tidal pool for guests to splash around in balmy summer days.

The popular tidal pool was constructed in the 1920s with constructors breaking away the rock to allow ocean water to filter through. Seating wraps around the balcony area, giving guests their own private, up-close view of the ocean.

Ficks offers a Spanish-themed menu.  Each dish offered has been uniquely created by the in-house chef and is prepared fresh daily. The dishes, named ‘Pinchos’, are served as small individual snack sized meals.

Originating from Northern Spain, pincho’s are usually described as miniature dishes, similar to tapas,  that are usually presented on skewers.

The restaurant caters for a range of diets, including vegetarian and pescatarian. Guests are spoilt for choice from deep fried cauliflower, to seared beef fillet and deep fried calamari.
