A hotbed of high-end viticulture, Stellenbosch boasts a vast collection of prestigious estates – and it’s the perfect place for HL readers to indulge in the good life. You’ll be immersed in the history of the area as you wander through four acclaimed vineyards and learn about sustainability practices and ecofriendly wine making.

Tour with an expert for behind-the-scenes glimpses at the richly historical estate of Rustenberg Wines, the lakeside setting at Stark-Condé Wines, the chic and contemporary Cavalli Wine and Stud Farm, and Uva Mira Mountain Vineyards, a high-altitude estate where you can enjoy an elevated tasting experience. Tickets cost R1 200 per person, with a minimum booking of four people. The cost includes:
  • pick up and drop off in and around Cape Town;
  • a private guide and driver;
  • four wine tastings;
  • a two course lunch at Cavalli (main and dessert);
  • and a six month print subscription to House and Leisure.
It excludes: beverages during lunch. The inaugural spring tour is on Saturday 26 September 2015 and thereafter tours will run on Saturdays for a limited time only, so grab some friends and book now! All the arrangements will be taken care of, with pickup times between 8am and 9am and the tour departing Stellenbosch at 4pm to return to Cape Town.
