#HLDiscovery: Cold Brew, Wine and Decor

Here's what's on the #HLDiscovery radar this week.

On this week's #HLDiscovery list, we look at an exquisite wine brand that you must try, and explore the latest additions to some of our favourite established brands' ranges.

1.  Van Biljon Cinq 2014

With an impressive score of 92/100 from 'master of wine' Tim Atkin and four and a half stars (out of a possible five) from Platter's Wine Guide, Van Biljon Cinq 2014 is an impressive wine to add to your collection. A Bordeaux-type blend, the wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot grapes, all of which are grown on the Van Biljon Wines farm. With its powerful structure and expressive fruit composition, Van Biljon Cinq 2014 makes a bold statement: the wine's classic oak character is seamlessly integrated with the fruit, while the fresh berry acidity gives it vibrance and purity.

2. Vida e Caffè Cold Brew

One of the country's favourite coffee shops are expanding their offering with cold-brew coffee, just in time for summer! When it's sweltering outside, you can get your caffeine kick with Vida e Caffè's cold brew caffes, conveniently bottled for your enjoyment. The  black,  slightly  sweetened  coffee  contains  the  caffeine equivalent  of 2 and 3Ž4 cups  of  coffee. Choose from three milk flavours: coffee,  mocha  and  vanilla. The black cold brew is available in a 350ml can for R32, while the milk flavours come in 280ml bottles for R35.

3. New Weylandts Store

Homeware and furniture retailer Weylandts has opened up its first store in Port Elizabeth (making it the brand's 12th store nationwide). Located at 220 Main Road, Walmer, the store is themed around the concept of 'The Collector of Landscapes', with themes including muted sandscapes to the dark forests of the subconscious and textures as subtly different as the gradual transformation of the sky at dusk over a stretched-out horizon. It also features The Kitchen, Weylandts’ contemporary bistro-style coffee shop, which serves delicious smoothies, light meals and baked goods beneath a giant fig tree, next to the fireplace or in the indoor-outdoor seating area.
